One of the midland’s leading new technology companies has stepped up to celebrate its achievements in business over the last year.
Leicester based DVD Blu-ray Duplication is just one example of a business which has ridden-out the worst of economic downturn to enter the new business category of the 2010 Leicestershire Business Awards.

The awards, now in their 17th year celebrate the achievements of businesses across the county.

Michael Cheung set-up DVD Blu-ray Duplication earlier this year and the business has already grown to become the only company in the region to offer the highest level of security in the industry on DVD discs and USB flash memory drives.

The business, which concentrates on offering high speed, security safe duplication of DVDs, Blu-ray, LightScribe and USB pens has grown over the last few months with Michael at the helm.

“This year has been very exciting for us; we have developed the business from scratch and enjoyed supporting existing clients and regional campaigns for local and national businesses.” explained Michael.

“We have also invested in some cutting edge technology and received orders and enquiries from a range of industry providers from publishing, music, corporate events and education.”

Michael, a local successful entrepreneur and his business, have also been nominated for the categories for Entrepreneur of the Year and Enterprise Through Innovation.

“I am very excited being nominated for the 2010 Leicestershire Business Awards and I am looking forward to the awards night itself and winning an award.” says an excited Michael.

The company also successfully supported the Big Switch Off campaign earlier in the year which saw more businesses switching off unnecessary electrical equipment and lighting to save energy and cut CO2 emissions.
