26/11/2009 Leicestershire: A Leicester based entrepreneur has become one of the first members of the newly opened Phoenix Square Business Club.

Michael Cheung owner of Michael Associates and DVD Blu-ray Duplication joined the club earlier this month just as it opened its doors to members of the public.

Phoenix Square, which officially opened on November 17, delivers a creative community and is located in the heart of Leicester’s Cultural Quarter.

As well as two cinema screens, a café bar and the De Montfort University (DMU) Cube – an interactive digital art gallery – Phoenix Square includes 63 individually-designed new homes, 22 workspaces, seven two-storey office studios and eight incubation units for creative businesses.

“I am very excited about being part of the Phoenix Square Business Club. We already work very closely with DMU and other design companies in Leicester that the new digital members club is perfect for our company, as it gives us the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and companies in a relaxed setting to explore new ideas and opportunities.” explained Michael.

The Phoenix Square Business Club brings together local businesses who want to be part of the new digital hub at Phoenix Square.
